FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How often and how long does it last?
It really depends on your lifestyle and what you are looking to get out of it. Two opposite ends of the spectrum: We have professional athletes (i.e. MMA fighters, NFL players, CrossFit competitors) when they are training for a big event or competition, they will be doing the drips twice a week; whereas, other people can get on a regimen to do them once every 4-6 weeks. However, it is something you need to be consistent with in order to maintain an optimal healthy lifestyle. It also depends how nutrient depleted you are (go into offering micronutrient testing and blood testing at this point). We actually have ways to test your blood levels to see exactly what nutrients you are deficient in or if there are some other underlying issues going on. In the beginning you may have to do the drips more frequently to get yourself to that optimal level. Then you will listen to your body’s cues when you are ready for your next drip.
  • Well, I already take vitamins by mouth:
When you take vitamins orally, they have to go through your digestive system, be broken down and then absorbed. By then, you are only getting about 20-30% of the actual dose. With IV nutrient therapy, you are guaranteed 100% direct absorption into the bloodstream, so your body is going to be able to utilize the nutrients to reach your optimum level of performance. You cannot reach this level with oral vitamins. Even if you are taking vitamins by mouth and eating healthy. Our soil is so nutrient depleted that it is impossible to get the proper level of nutrients we need from the foods we eat.
  • Does your body absorb more of the nutrition through an IV drip than it would by taking vitamins or other supplements? Or does it get rid of the excess nutrients it doesn’t need, like it will with excess vitamins or other supplements?
Yes, IV Nutritional Therapy delivers nutrients directly into the bloodstream allowing the body to absorb 100% of nutrients infused. Direct access to the bloodstream bypasses the gastrointestinal tract, allowing the body’s organs to obtain all of the benefits of each nutrient. Vitamins and supplements taken orally must first be broken down through the gastrointestinal tract in order for the body to absorb and use those vitamins and supplements. This process reduces the nutrient absorption rate significantly. Also, these are all water-soluble vitamins, same as we get from the foods that we eat, just in a higher concentration. Anything that the body feels it does not need will be excreted.
  • I eat clean and organic:
Even if you are taking vitamins by mouth and eating “clean & healthy”, it’s important to know our soil is so nutrient depleted that it is impossible to get the proper level of nutrients we need from the foods we eat. Also your body may still not absorb all of the nutrients you consume via food. A common instance of this is Vitamin D.
  • Will I be able to sleep at night?
The energy you get from IV nutrient therapy is natural energy, not chemically induced energy, like from caffeine or Redbull. It will not cause you to feel jittery. You will not experience the caffeine “crash” and it will not cause sleeplessness at night.
  • How long does it take to start feeling the effects?
You’re not going to walk out of here feeling like superman…it’s more a feeling of liveliness and not being so exhausted after a day’s work. Most people have come to accept that feeling tired after working all day is normal, but it is not. If we had our optimal levels of nutrients in our body, we would not be feeling this way. SIDE NOTE: After clients have their infusion, they might actually feel more relaxed at first. This is due to a few factors: First, we are providing a very relaxed environment during the infusion, going along with our motto: “Relax the mind, while you replenish the body.” Also, especially infusions with Glutathione, the client will go through a “detox period” which might make them feel a little tired, and once complete, they will begin to feel energized.
  • Can you provide the breakdown of the ingredients in your signature drips?
Yes, we provide all guests with a breakdown of each signature drip. Examples of ingredients include: Vitamin C, B Vitamins, amino acids, minerals and glutathione. ** Reference IV Formula Guide for specifics
  • Are these drips paraben and preservative free?
Drips are all-natural and do not contain steroids, synthetics, placebos, or medicine of any kind. Most nutrients are preservative-free, while others require them to have a health impact.
  • Are nutrient IV therapy packages available for purchase?
Yes, we offer various packages. Packages are available for all nutrient infusions in quantities of 4, 8 and 12 infusions. All packages are priced affordably and designed for each lifestyle.
  • How often should you do IV therapy to reap its full benefits?
Everyone is different. It really depends on your lifestyle. In general, every 2 to 4 weeks is ideal. With that said, depending on lifestyle and the body’s demand will determine how often someone should undergo IV nutrient therapy. Someone who lives a moderate lifestyle with a day job and exercises a few times a week will benefit from IV nutrient therapy on a monthly basis. Professional athletes will require less time between infusions than someone who has a moderate lifestyle. This is particularly important if athletes are training for a marathon or competition. A person who is treating medical conditions and/or vitamin deficiencies, the time in between each infusion will vary depending on the medical condition(s) and course of treatment. It is always best to check with your practitioner for your individual needs.
  • What are the risks associated with IV therapy?
IV therapy is a non-invasive procedure with minimal risk. Examples: minor bruising around puncture site of IV catheter, inflammation and bleeding upon removal of IV catheter.
  • Do you recommend special diets and/or lifestyles to your clients to coincide with the IV therapy for an overall better and healthier lifestyle?
Every person is different. We can offer advice regarding diets aimed at increasing energy, weight loss, or solving vitamin deficiencies, depending on what the client is experiencing.
  • Can you describe the type of training your employees undergo to ensure that they administer the IV drips correctly?
All staff members are board certified and licensed in the state of Arizona as Paramedic, Nurse, Physician Assistant or Medical Doctor. Staff members who administer IV therapy have been trained and hold a certificate by The Medical Educator Consortium in IV Therapy, something other spas do not have their therapists do.
  • While these IV drips are a means of preventative health, how do they heal those currently dealing with medical issues and diseases? Specifically, how can these drips assist cancer patients?
Each medical issue and disease is different. An example for cancer is immunotherapy, which is great for boosting, improving, and aiding the immune system to fight off cancer cells.
  • Are there any medical issues that can be treated via IV therapy?
IV therapy is known to aid in the treatment of many issues. Some examples are: · Depression · Stress · The common cold · Migraines · Cancer · Lyme Disease · Immunodeficiencies · Vitamin deficiencies · Heavy Metal Toxicity
  • How do the nutrients from the IV drips remain in the bloodstream?
The bloodstream is a transporter for many things in the body and nutrients are one of them. Nutrients do not remain in the bloodstream entirely, nutrients are transported in the bloodstream directly to cells, where nutrients from IV infusions are used.
  • Where do you get your IV solutions?
From an FDA regulated 503B pharmacy which is an approved and registered compounding pharmacy. In a 503B facility, before any new product can be brought to market, multiple batches must be made and submitted for testing and stability studies. While this may result in a longer lead time to getting new products to customers, this ensures that every batch made during normal production is consistent in quality and meets the high standards set by the FDA and CGMP. Not only must products be validated but testing methods must also be validated to ensure accuracy and precision, in accordance with USP standards. All vendors that supply raw materials must be thoroughly vetted, and on-site inspections are performed by the Quality Assurance team for all critical suppliers. 503B Pharmacies are required to register with each state board of pharmacy, DEA, and FDA.
